I was driving today and under acceleration twice today my rpm just dropped to idle even though i never lifted. After lifting and pressing the gas again it was like nothing happened but i have no idea what the problem is. Luckily it was city speeds but I'm afraid to be cruising on the highway and have my throttle cut out like that again.

I've not changed any of my setup (CAI, 5/16 spacer & gorgees grounding kit only) on my 03 5AT and it's been the same for years. Anyone have an idea what is going on? I appreciate any help.

That happened to me sporadically for a couple months before the CEL finally threw a code for a bad camshaft position sensor.

You might want to check the connectors on the cam and crank postion sensors.
