OMFG! Its over (T_T)

R.I.P.
Oct. 14, 2010 9:00am
2006 DG 6mt...

Im just hurting inside... This car was apart of me. I always wanted this car since they were introduced in the early years of 2000 and now its OVER :icon27:
It was my first car that I ever reeeaaaally wanted.
I grew up on the poor end of society in Maui, and a car like this was always unattainable, but I did my work and finished my schooling and made a better life for myself out here in the mainland and finally got the chance to make a dream my reality...
I learned everything on this car from my first oil change to driving stick...
It helped me remember my forgotten childhood memories of my dad and uncles working on cars...
I was proud of everything I did myself...
http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/y...7/DSC_9561.jpg
It all ended when a frick'n transvestite decided to run the red in an intersection while I was completing my left turn :(
The reject didn't even have a license or spoke english...
Look what the shim did to my ride...
OMFG!
http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/y...47/photo-1.jpg
http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/y..._047/photo.jpg

Well I towed her home in her last few moments of life and stripped her of all her bling (I wanted to cry the whole time)
and this Sunday the insurance company is coming to estimate the damage
and I pray its totaled...
It will NEVER be the same!!!
and I know everyone will be like well now I can start picking something new but the truth is I wouldn't have traded my car for anything, not a BMW, Ashton, or Bugatti!!! I can't even see myself in anything else as of now...
I took alot of pride in detailing her every Sunday and loved seeing her in my garage as I open the garage door...
Im just so distraught over the incident… even my dogs knew I was down.
My dog never used to come in the garage while I worked on my car but as I sat there undoing all my work they never left my side...
Walked away wit ha few cut bruises and burns (from the airbags being deployed) but I did lose apart of me in that accident.
Anyways Thank you to all the members who have enlightened me through the past years and helped me… and EVERYONE in general on this forum!!!
This place has the BEST crowd ever! The remarks, the burns, the flaming, the help, the info… and just everything!!! I may not have known or dealt with everyone personally but I associated every screen name in my mind with a character...
Not to sure what will happen but, like they they in Maui as i was growing up when shet went wrong and not the way you planned "Jes' keep Pluggin' Away, Deadgame"
Mahalo'z and Alohaz to everyone!!!
.
.
.
.
.
P.S. Part out coming soon!!!
My loss your gain gentlemen/women

Tim@Grubbs 10-15-2010 05:52 PM

It'll all be good, man. Trust me, I've been there several times. Just keep your eye out on one that someone else took just as good care of and you'll end up happy.

WhosRich 10-15-2010 05:56 PM

Sorry to hear man. Sounds like you really loved your car. At the end of the day it saved your life so be glad for that. Gotta move on.

CandlestickPark 10-15-2010 05:56 PM

Man, very sorry this happened. Thank goodness you weren't hurt badly, that is what's most important.

Mur21 10-15-2010 05:58 PM

Sorry to hear that......no chance of a rebuild? I guess that would cost too much.

nogoodname 10-15-2010 05:59 PM

That engine bay looked so clean...so sad to see the G ruined. Try to find another well kept G and slowly mod it to what you had.

antknee 10-15-2010 05:59 PM

hey brah! glad to hear you're fine, just so you know things happen for a reason so there might be something good waiting for you sometime soon..

CERBERUSlucid 10-15-2010 06:00 PM

ˆThats why this forum is the BEST!
Thanks for the encouragement bro!
I know my post is just me venting but I am sure no one else understands me more then you guys =)

I am still going through the marketplace looking for parts that the forum needs, and stripping them off my car before its gone to just help someone else out (Like tow hook covers etc.) anything that wont look to obvious to the insurance company.

pczavala 10-15-2010 06:03 PM

dang the other car got wrecked, the G took it like a champ!

i dunno but to me it seems they may fix it.

CERBERUSlucid 10-15-2010 06:05 PM

Yeah I took pride in that...even polishing under the MREV2, where no one can see =) Every little detail!!!

and I got into it because of SxExC's engine, Marcus & many others
I always would look at there photos and be like thats what I want, and went for it.

CERBERUSlucid 10-15-2010 06:07 PM

NOPE not anymore!!!
I made sure

even if it was, it will NEVER be the same you know...

Thanks for the support bro... I met you once in LBC for some python locks I believe, and the whole time I was looking at your ride knowing what was under the hood... but you had your kid with you so I didn't want to ask you to pop the hood:o

But congrats on being hellaflush approved! and winning the cleanest engine at the riverside meet bro!

YOU EARNED IT:biggthumpup:

pczavala 10-15-2010 06:12 PM

Yeah usually when its in a accident that big mostlikely there will always be something wrong.

keep us posted once you start listing stuff for sale. im interested in the mrev2 =) and that intake looks bad azz too!

BigOgre 10-15-2010 06:13 PM

Wow that sucks man.. Good thing your ok.
^^The G did take it like a champ!

In line for partout!

O HELLA OEM 10-15-2010 06:18 PM

Damn sorry to hear !! But be thankful you walked away and alive . But I know if I was in your position I'd feel the same way.

But it doesn't look totalled to me but just pray it is lol

Good luck with everything

JOKER 10-15-2010 06:18 PM

I did love it bro... I have never been into cars until I saw the G come out...
and even then it was something that was just not in my cards, but l bettered my situation in life and earned my way there...
I know the car line itself has issues but the way I see it, everything does...
to me it was perfection on four wheels:driving:
I will truly miss down shifting and dumping gears past 5k:D
on my way to work today (carpool:icon27:) I would catch myself going through the motions on every turn...clutch • shift • rev match • throttle

jibberjabbers 10-15-2010 06:21 PM

Don't look 'totaled' to me. But maybe if there is some frame damage.

Sorry to see and hear about this. You're safe and at least now, you can upgrade to a better car. One that lets you recirculate air w/o having the AC on. And one that doesn't have the heater on 24/7.

You car was very clean though. Maybe you can fix it back up if they don't total it.

BigOgre 10-15-2010 06:22 PM

Why not get another G or maybe a 37

CERBERUSlucid 10-15-2010 06:25 PM

Under the hood it looks worse...the frame is bent in and the tire side is actually caved in...
the bolts that you attach the STB to got ripped out of place…and the front right side is actually hanging once its suspended...

Blue Dream 10-15-2010 06:25 PM

Seeing pics of a G in that condition makes my stomach churn, literally. I feel your pain and really don't look forward to the day I have to say bye to my G. It's strange because there are so many great cars out there to choose from these days but I have become very attached to the G like no other car I've had since my 72 Olds 442 I owned back in the late 70's in high school.

BUT, the important thing here is you are OK and the car can be replaced. If I was in your situation I would probably buy another 05-06 G sedan, and start the process over with as many parts from the wrecked car as I could. That way I could have some of my old girl in the new one. Keep your head up and look at this as one of those learning experiences that you will go through from time to time. Remember, that which doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!!

Yeah 37 engines are dope but to me it seems more like a chic car bro...no offense to anyone...but its just not me... to much curves.
I could have bought a 37 to begin with but I wanted the 35:rolleyes:

the 35's to me are just pure sex...I will turn my head for a stock 35 before I turn my head for a fine female

Like I said it was my dream car

ilovez33 10-15-2010 06:32 PM

Man....i think i almost cried reading your story.....To be dead honest i know how you feel when you open your garage and see it looking at you. Its like falling in love all over again man. Props to all the work you put into it. It's all I could've dreamed seeing my engine bay looking so clean....Best wishes to you man and thank god you came away from that....

Diaz 10-15-2010 06:36 PM

Yes as everyone calls it... the honeymoon was not even close to over...
I never took her for granted...
I use to walk in my garage late at night while while everyone was asleep and just stare at her...calidust her even though it was immaculate... and rewax what was already waxed...cleaned the engine everyday after work, and things that some might consider even too much...

Thanks for the support bro

tragedycat 10-15-2010 06:44 PM

Hey man I know exactly how you feel. The G35 was the car that got me into cars, it was the first vehicle I purchased myself, I learned how to do basically everything I know about cars on it, and I was honestly planning on keeping it forever.

My last one got totaled because some ******* ran a red light and t-boned me. This happened last November as you can see in my signature, and I was completely devastated. I still think about all the time, money, and enthusiasm I poured into that car and it makes me a little bit sad. At the time I thought it was weird that I had all of these emotions tied to a car, but I've come to accept it for what it is. It's interesting you posted this because as it's getting near November again I was just thinking about it today on the way home from work about how it's almost been a year since it's happened.

Anyways man, keep your head up. You will find another G35 if you want. I flew down from Maryland to South Carolina to get my current one, it was owned by some old dude and basically looked new when I picked it up. They are out there if you look hard enough!

Your dam right!!! at impact I could hear her say i will protect you and goodbye, but I will make sure to take that POS out of commission as well...I will not go alone...remember me <3 … BOOM! </3 _______flatline...

my response... I will NEVER forget!

then I was thinking of that Subaru commercial where the guys car gets wreck and here take his old shift knob from the wreck before the demolish the car and sticks it in his new car...

jibberjabbers 10-15-2010 06:50 PM

Actually, the front end is suppose to "crush" like that. Most Japanese cars have "crumple zones". Basically created to "lesson" the impact. When the a car is hit straight on, it's suppose to crush like exactly like that.

The G was hit at a slight angle..

xx7sephiroth7xx 10-15-2010 06:52 PM

WOW.

I'm sorry to hear this, hopefully you'll find one close to yours soon!

Glad to hear you're okay, tho!

It happens to the best of us, Im no exception. It is what it is, and I will take it like a man...
and yes there are tons of greater cars out there that I actually can afford now, but she was mine and I was hers, and I was loyal!
Thanks for the understanding and we were practically engine bay twins if I recall =)

surma884 10-15-2010 06:59 PM

I have to agree with the OP. G35 Coupe is the only car I like. If my car got totaled I would go out there and buy a G35 Coupe again. I like the looks, feel, and sound. I don't like the G37 that much, and there are no other cars that I like.

To the OP, your car looks badass.

CERBERUSlucid 10-15-2010 07:03 PM

=) all the people I thought of would replied did...

and I know every single screen name so far... =)
You guys might not have known of me cause im usually pretty quiet on the forum but I know each of you =)

Thanks for the kind words people and sharing some of my pain...
I means alot to know that complete strangers share a connection.

Project 10-15-2010 07:05 PM

Yeah I hear you bro... I always keep a 19mm Snap-on wrench on the side of my door jes in case its time to regulate...and I grabbed it as I exited my dying dear car and was playing in my head the different scenario's but then the thought of jail set in and I corrected my train of thought... lucky for me the shim wasn't mouthing off or anything cause then things would have gone from horrible to shet hit the fan came back down and splattered on everyone in the vacinity, and radiate out past the killzone.

No one dared to look me in the eye…

ThickG 10-15-2010 07:18 PM

I just wanted to say that reading your story on here and the other comments that people have posted actually fills me with excitement. Forgive me if that sounds mean, but let me explain.

Before my G, I had a Wrangler for about 10 years and I loved that f-ing thing so much, despite the fact that she was bone stock. Until the day some ditz ran a stop sign and totaled her. I then got my G and rapidly fell in love all over again. I'm now at a point that I can start modding her and she will, hopefully, one day reach the level of pure sex on wheels that your ride clearly was.

My point is that I'm excited to develop the attachment and pride that you had in your ride. So, if it's any consolation, know that your story and subsequent comments are inspiring to those, such as myself, that are just beginning their foray into the world of the G35.

I am sorry for your loss and wish you the best of luck.

IHIERBal 10-15-2010 07:26 PM

:o thank you… I understand what you mean and no need to apologize… I understand where your coming from cause I was once like you as well reading about a beautiful G that was lost...but inspired me to honor there loss with another sick G...
Take care as well and enjoy your G!

I am so sorry to hear about this. I am glad you weren't hurt. Such a nice car.. such a shame.

i know exactly what you mean. Regardless of price range there is NO OTHER car that makes me Droool like a G35. Aside from being a G, this was your G and it had sentimental value.
Why not purchase another G and make it better than ever? Thats what i would do. G37 or any other car wouldnt really be an "upgrade" for me.

A DAM SHAME...

yeah im very close to my dogs...they would guard me with there life, and I would surely die for them...

There was one point actually where I was saving up a few grand for the G's performance, but the pitbull got a really bad infection with a 50/50 chance of making it so I dumped about 7grand into her vet bills and overnight stays to make sure she had the best chance possible...I was even getting ready to sell the the G if need be... but she made it:biggthumpup:
thats my little girl soul'jah...
I remember being so fuct up and distraught for about 9 days without sleep...
I paid the nurses a little extra to take the chance and let me in after hours to sit next to my dog... I promised her when I got her, to do everything within my power to keep her well, and a man should always keep his word and I did.
I would whisper to her while she lay there with tubes n shet coming out of her, "You can't leave me just yet, Papa still needs you"...
So she kept good on her part by fighting through it...and I kept my word to make sure she always had the best...

Yes people my dog is my little gurl and I would kill for her and I have no doubt that she would do the same for me...

BTW I have a Red Nose Pitbull(Rescued from some inhuman who considered himself a man, that wasn't even deserving of filling her water bowl with tap water, or scooping up her shet)
and that is also the meaning of my screenname actually
CERBERUS the three headed dog =)
http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/y...7/Picture3.png
Here is me and the Pit Mobbing together after her ordeal...I promised that I would let her smell everyblade of grass and remark all her stomping grounds...shes very thin cause of all the surgerys and what not but she is now better than ever...

FYI: I dont raise or belive in aggressive dogs...I believe in loyalty...
F@@K you dog fighters who use your animal as a **** extension you no nuts punks...shame on you for going back on the pact made between man and dog centuries ago...
