Dealer damaged the Gear shifter..

Just got my car back for the 7500 miles service. When I dropped my car in, I told the service manager that the gear shifter is a little bit crooked to the left and I want it to be straightened.
Then here is the bad part... I got the car back, the service manager told me that the mechanics torn the leather wrap around the gear shifter.. i was like.. WHAT THE F***.
I go checked the car and sure enough I see the leather is torn a little bit. And the worst part is that when I was about to get out from the dealer. the gear shifter makes a very loud rattling sound. it's like something is loose. the harder I accelerate the louder is the sound.
this really make me mad. Then I went back to the dealer and told the service manager about the rattling sound.
Well.. the good part is that I'm gonna get a new gear shifter sometime this week.

Dude, that sucks. When I took it to the dealer once, they made a nick on the shift pattern diagram between the 2 & 4. I was pissed and was going to complain, but then 5 seconds later I said no, because they're gonna F it up more. So I have to live with it.

I should have complained and gotten a free oil change instead or something, but not have them fix it.

You asked them to FIX it, not make it worse.

Next time go into the dealership and ask them to "break" your car. Maybe you'll get it back running better than ever.

It only hurts whan I laugh...

It reminds me of how I pay $335 a month to my NYC parking garage where they scratch, scuff, ding and dent my coupe on a regular basis (while they were repairing body damage they did at two separate places on the side of the car last week they somehow also managed to break the grill). Maybe if I suggested they go ahead and smash it into a wall they'd stop damaging it.

LoL BMW. Its true its hard to find a good parking garage in NYC. I m fortunate enough to have found one where my car is taken care and given priority. I try to park there all the time and rather take a taxi to anywhere that I may be going to instead of parking at other garages.
