Project idea
If anyone is interested, I thought this might be a neat small project.
My friends new Audi A4 has these two little red lights up above by the sunroof controls that shine down on the shift *** at night. They are recessed enough that you do not notice them up there yet they provide a really cool glow of red light matching the audi's interior lights. They are very dim so it doesnt stand out but people comment on it all the time. I think it would look interesting in our cars, in my opinion.

Yeah, it's ambient lighting so when you're on a dark road at night and you wanna change the radio or climate control settings or whatever, you can see where your hands are (that sounds stupid, but it's the truth!).
If you want ambient lighting, an easy way would be to purchase two neon lights and install each one under the front seat area. Position it nicely so it's not too obvious, but provides a really nice glow at night. Looks great when done properly....as I'm typing this post, I think I am gonna do that !!

Yea it's called ambient lighting...it has been discussed before. I think a few people have attempted it before.

Ohhh, that's what ambient lighting is!! Havent seen a topic come up like this in a while, yea i love that lighting, my friends Acura TSX has them all over the car and they are a neon cool blue, it looks sooo hot!
