I am about to buy the Borla True-Dual exhaust for the Coupe. They claim an 18.9 horsepower increae over stock but one review I saw on the net said they got only a 3 hp gain.

Is this possible? Is Borla lying that much or was the testers dyno way off? I hope I didn't just spend alot of money for 3 hp.

Has anyone dynoed this exhaust before and after? Will I notice a big power difference after it is installed? Please help.

The dyno I saw showed a gain of about 7 hp., Coupled with great sound and looks, It's a good mod. (IMHO)

ok; to answer your question a little bit more accurately, when considering exhaust and intakes you could never go by the gains the manufacturer claims. not that the gains are not legit ones, but they are usually gains on cars are tested and have some type of force induction, however you will see some type of gains with these mods just not what the manufacturer claims. usually u get intake and exhaust for the looks and sound not for performance unless you have a car with some type of FI.

 

18.9 is very optimistic to say the least. I like the looks of the bigger tips, weight savings, sound, and price. I don't think you wasted your money because no exhaust is going to produce those kind of gains on our car. Overall, I am happy with it and its one mod where I felt an increase on the butt dyno.
