Hello everyone, new to this forum and enjoying it. I just put a deposit on a DP 5AT w/leather which is squeduled for a May delivery. This is the first vehicle that I will be leasing and I'd like to ask those who have leased before, is the process the same as financing? Harder or easier to get approved when leasing versus financing? Does no down or a large down payment play a factor in the approval process? Sorry so many questions but I'd like to know what to expect so I can prepare while I'm waiting for May to get here. Thanks in advance.

 

Just like financing, the APR of the lease depends on your credit score, but given the same credit score, the rate is generally a bit lower in a lease. I don't believe the downpayment amount makes any difference in getting approved.

 

You need to go to Edmunds.com and study up on leases. If you dont understand leasing, they WILL screw you, and you probably wont know it..
