Redline,
I have done before and after measurements. The drop (so far) is 0.5" front and 0.25" rear. I am going to do 1 more measurement after I get an alignment, maybe this Friday or Saturday. If it settles up to 0.25" more front and back, I'd still be happy, but am presently liking the look and feel just the way it is.

What? You think that John Kerry is not consistent?

Neff, those are awesome shots! Great wheel IMHO. Hey! Where are the wheel locks...dude, these WILL get jacked if you don't get some.

Wanna see mine?

Randy,

I'm working the larger issues first. #1 item on the list is the body work. #2 item on the list is the wheel locks. The place that ordered the wheels for me was supposed to order wheel locks. As you know, the holes for the lug nuts are pretty small in diameter (and the fronts are super deep) so I'm not too sure if these wheels will just come off w/o the deep well socket that comes with them.

Thanks neffster,

You and I share the same desires when selecting the springs (from past posts); I also have a LR G, so your pics helped tremendously. I'm 99% sure I will get the Z H-tech.

Looking forward to reading your post after your alignment....

(Signature soon..)

make the wheel locks #1, they are cheaper than body work and the ones provided my Infiniti work great...trust me.

Randy, That's Great News. I have the ones provided by Infiniti, but I thought the key was too large in diameter (and too shallow) to work. I'll carefully look into putting them on tonight. Thanks...

I haven't been following this thread so please excuse the stupid question.

Why did you go for the H-tech springs for the Z instead of the ones for the G?

I have the S-tech's for the G and they work well, except they are a little low for me in the front. (tend to bash into driveways etc.)

Re: LR 6MT, PIAA Super Rozza & TEIN H-Techs ***pics***

My reasons for chosing the H-Techs for the 350Z...

1. More subtile drop than G35 S-Techs
2. Closer to stock spring rates for the 6MT Coupe (I think they're +14% and +11% stiffer than stock)
3. Only transfers ~3% roll stiffness to the front of the vehicle (read up on understeer and oversteer, this is important).
4. From my research these springs will not wear out the shocks as fast due to their spring rates being close to stock.
5. I'm hoping to be able to adjust the front and rear camber and toe to within stock ranges WITHOUT having to spend $220 on rear camber/toe adjustment and about $600+ on front camber/toe adjustment.

There are more reasons, but those are the ones that come to mind first...

Car looks awesome! Drop looks real nice. I can't wait to get mine. I decided on the 350 H-techs, tokico adjustable shocks, kinetix front and rear camber arms. Thinking about sways too, to counter understeer.

Optical Illusion?

Very nice, I think those are the best looking rims on a G. Height also looks perfect, good job =)

I noticed in Pic #3 there seems to be a spot on the back wheel that looks like the spokes were damaged or part of the rim is missing. That's so strange because I was just looking at a pic of these wheels on a black coupe that exhibited the same kind of illusion:

Neff, it turned out wonderful! The drop is perfect, you don't need to slam it to the ground and there's enough load on the wheel bearings already. It's going to settle a bit more in the next few days.

All excellent reasons to choose those springs.

When I get tired of bashing into things and my tires are worn out, I'll have to think about getting some.

Thanks for the thoughtful and complete response.

lookin good there neff! sorry to hear about the body work tho, thats why i had to get a setup that didn't require body mods, but watever, they are paying to fix it. good luck with your setup and i don't think you'll have any problems scraping. i have yet to scrape on a 1.5" front drop and 1" rear drop, i'm actually considering dropping another .25" all around, hehehe.
