Impossible. I have never seen any gas stations in So Cal offering $2.25 - 2.50 per gallon. Not even for 87 octane.

$30 for half a tank sounds right. It costs roughly $60 to fill up the car, possibly a little more. Depends on how long your low gas light was on for. I remember back when gas prices were crazy high it cost me nearly $80 to fill up my tank, weekly.

I never fill up my gas tank. Usually do it half way, maybe a little more. Sounds like a stupid reason but it does save weight. Each gallon of gas weighs approx 8 lbs. If you're running on half a tank, your vehicle is now ~80 lbs lighter.

It also depends on when the low gas light comes on and how quickly you fill up gas. You can drive quite a bit once it comes on. Roughly 50 miles or so. Also depends where you live. Different states, different counties, heck different cities or parts of the neighborhood have different prices. Gas stations themselves differ in pricing. Chevron can be 3.41 for 91 octane here but if I go to another nearby city to a Mobil gas station I can get it for 20 cents cheaper per gallon. But prices to fill up a tank generally isn't more than a $3 - $6 difference. Nationwide I doubt if it's even a $10 gap for the highest and lowest gas prices.

^^^ hell yea! You have to special order that. then you don't have to spend that much on gas. You can put that 87 in that.

$60 for a full tank is not bad. Just wait until gas prices go up and it's $85 to fill it up. That's what it cost me to fill up one summer

If gas is a problem to you... why do you drive an Infiniti anyways...
It's not like we have a fat v8 that does 12mpg -_-"
Imo, G35's mpg is not that bad...

^true but i am a poor college student trying to get by. I can take a bus everyday to and from school for $5 for the whole week Vs. driving everyday to and from school and gas would be $40 bucks.

Really? You bought a 6 year old entry level sport luxury car and now you're bitching about gas?

I filled up my Acura today for $28, maybe you should sell your G and buy something you can afford. You're not driving a 1.6L anymore.

reidr96: I feel sorry for you guys on the west coast, I fill up for $45-$50 in the G.

wow .. LOL .. I thought I had it bad with my fill up prices .. I wait until it's close to empty but no gas light and it literally costs me $46 every time (odd but it's only ever cents off each fill lol) .. gas is running $3.31 up here for Shell V-Power .. I'm wondering how low you $60 guys are letting your gas tanks get before filling because that's some intense price to be paying per fill lol I was always under the impression that it wasn't good to let the gas get TOO low due to deposits, gunk and what not causing issues with the pump and the gauge eventually not working right .. I could be wrong, which I'm used too HAHA

I'm guessing you have about 4-5 gallons left and dont realize it.

3.31*4 equals 13.24

13.24 + 45 equals 58.24 so your right around the range of 60.00, so dont feel too special.

About two years ago it cost me over $75 per tank because gas was almost at $4/gallon. Shortly after that they actually fell below $2/gallon..it was awesome!
