Yes we like STS, we actually planned on building the car with the greddy twins but knew that on full track days and driving the car non stop we may end up having a lot of reliablity problems, we may very well have had no problems at all with it but we really like the idea of the remote mount STS and we cut our costs for a lot of things in half going that route.

Im the driver, and yeah ive been drag racing since i was 13, Jr's lol. So i have been racing competitively for 7 years. Solo and TA is about 4. I have also been in the industry since I was walking and have travelled racing all over and been to PRI and all of the big race expos since i can remember. I honestly feel lost if its saturday and sunday and im not at the track lol, needless to say im addicted. Racing has been my life since I was born. But im well aware i have a loooooot to learn

Pictures pretty much say it all Haha here are some throwbacks and a pic of my dads blown alcohol dragster from back in the day when i was growing up, with the matching paint schemes lmao. Honestly 7 years could be listed as 21 as far as im concerned, i have more experience in my short life than most do in their entire lives, this is just the newest endeavor in my life of racing haha

Thats awesome man. I autocrossed from 14-18 then stated doing track events at 18. Now I'm 21 and I'm an instructor with NASA. Don't quite have to money to get into racing so I'm gonna stick with that for awhile.

Build Day 1

From the blog:

Its finally 2011 and that means its time to start building at the SOHO Motorsports shop! We are still waiting on a few critical pieces and since I had a racers banquet to attend that afternoon we did a few things to get the build started. We first stripped all of the seat and trunk and ended up taking nearly 200lbs off the car (before the new seats). Then we installed the new carbon fiber trunk and saved a pretty good amount of weight on that as well. Then while the guys from Soho where doing that I took the original intake manifold / plenum with Motordyne spacer and mrev2 setup off the car. We will most likely be putting this on another one of our street Z's. Then we finished the short day off with installing the absolutely beautiful Cosworth intake manifold and we mocked up the APR GTC 300 rear spoiler, which mounts very close to flush to the edge of the trunk so we may need to make some sort of bracket on the inside of the trunk. Here are a few preview pics and you can find the rest of the photos for the build on flickr or on facebook.
