05-06 6speed Manual trannys

Okay I just want to upgrade my 03 tranny to the newer trannys but I have a question.

1) Are the 05-06 6 speed trannys the same?
2) Is $500 a good deal of an 05 6 speed tranny with 72k miles on it?

Question would be gearing and if it will mount up to the engine.

yes all 6MT trans are the same on the V35. The only difference is the early 03 trans, they have a different pivot pin for the clutch fork ( longer iirc).

I actually won the auction on ebay. So the 2005-2006 trannys are far better than the 2003 then right? I just wanted to make sure because I don't want to pay for a tranny that shifts like my 03.

So now install it and lets see what happens lol. Take it to rnj. I want to follow up with each step of the install. I might do this if not too much is required.

I have an 06 MT and it shifts horribly. As did the other 06 I test drove. I don't know if they shift better than the 03-04 though as I've only driven those in auto.

Lmao you're that dude with the clean black sedan. I was with ONEUP that time i met you when we were swapping the cats. How much do you think Ralph would charge for a transmission swap?

the later trannys were beefered up internally, with better synchros and more.

dont have exact data, but the tech at infiniti told me that when they replaced mine, the new ones are stronger.
