the vq motor isnt a small motor ..build the engine... you save money and dont have to be out a dd for a few months

i have seen a few things about people doing it but it wasnt very impressive. it wont be legal at all in california and it is a huge expense. you have to buy all the stuff for the rb26 like trani and ecu and you will need for all the exhaust and mounts to be fabricated and then all the time pulling and replacing the engines and making new lines to connect ac and power steering. after all is said and done you will have an engine with less power in your car and you will be unhappy unless you also do quite a bit of performance mods to the rb26. it makes more sense to put some money into the VQ and have a larger displacement more advanced motor with variable valve timing. also for the price you will spend on all that i think you could find a cheap older skyline with a swap done i know we can get them for around 15k - 20k for a 95 with the swap done already then ud spend less and have a skyline

Putting a heavy inline 6pot in that engine bay friggs up the weight balance that the engineers worked so hard to accomplish. That is all...
