Ah, I see.

Funny thing is, after asking my question I did some quick research. Tranny cooler is highly recommended for the VB upgrade when you go FI.

I still didn't find anything for just the VB upgrade without FI though. Maybe this is a question for Fab. I guess I have more digging myself to do.

Yea, I'd recommend a tranny cooler for FI even without the VB upgrade.

Damn, I want a VB upgrade lol

Yeah I haven't read anything about needing a tranny cooler if you just have the VB upgrade, although it certainly wouldn't hurt having it. It isn't even required for FI, but definitely recommended. You can never have too much cooling with FI, or so I've read.

OP said he's going FI in the future, he's a little early with the tranny cooler, but on the right track. I'd add an oil cooler to your list as well, but that's when you actually do go FI, it'd be overkill right now lol.

Mod as you go, don't plan a head or it's wasted money IMO. He could choose to do something totally different.

Maybe that's just the way I do cars?

Well I wouldn't say don't plan ahead, but I agree with you. Which is why I haven't bought any FI supporting mods yet and am waiting until I have enough $$$ for all of the parts I'll be needing when I go FI, and buy everything at the same time.

Hopefully everything goes according to plan for the OP.

As others have mentioned the sport seats seem a bit early.... why not put more into the performance parts or other areas instead of dropping 2k on those?

Also what wheel setup are you planning to go with?

There's nothing wrong with having a "Plan!" You don't need seats until you've gone way down the path you've created. And you don't need springs and coilovers. Living in Florida you can do anything you wish since if they have laws or they don't bother to enforce them....tint/test pipes etc.

That's one thing I learned from this forum and alot of the guys here is plan ahead or else you'll waste alot of money switching back and forth.

Op, definitely have a PLAN of what you want to do and what you expect out of the car. Research the possibilities and costs of both N/A and FI. Don't waste money from not doing the research. If only I had found this forum before I started modding....

Also, Im 5A/T and want to upgrade the VB for more crips shift when in manual, so i don't get lag on the shift also, but the transmission cooler i figured id get cause ill be going FI soon, and im also gettin connector rods from cosworth, and JWT Pop Charger is recently added W/ Z-tube, and my wheel setup is i think, 19x8.5 in from with 19x 9.5 in the back i think with the R-1 Hype Machine Black lips, also does anyone know what other interals i should get replaced before doing the FI install since the VQ has SOME weak internals form what i read

Coilovers trust me i wish i would of not did tein s and shocks cost almost the same. And i have a hks and its great but i hear the godspeed replica is the same or better. It is just made out of a lower quality metal, not sure but the cost is way less.

I also would not go heavy on performance mods as the g35 will never be that fast.

Does anyone have pics of ART pipes on their G? And I was thinkin of going with tein coilevers but the HKS would be nice to have but idk if its in my budget, and again the only reason for my seats is because i have a rip on my driver seat and want to replace them before it gets worse, (which it has)
