Re: More pics of Lakeshore Slate & Segengeti Sand

I had mine pinstriped close to two years ago. I don't like the pinestripes I see in those dealer shots, but I really like mine. Mine was the first, and is still the only pinstriped "G" that I've seen. As you can see, my stripe is lower (splits at the door handle) and rolls down at the headlights, then flips up at the taillights (next shot) It was pinstriped by the same guy that did my Harley.

The pinstriping is a dealer option. Most dealerships have it available at an added cost.....I think $225 at my dealer.....
I had them pinstripe my I35, and it really did add to the cars looks......
The dealer offered to pinstripe my coupe for free, but I decided against it......I think that if your in an accident, especially a year or so down the road, it will be another strong visual point that they may not be able to match properly IMO

Well, I hope that as a dealer option it would look different on other Gs because the way it was done, it didn't look pretty at all. Where the pinstripe starts, it looked like it had already started to peel off. And on the rear quarterpanels it just butchered the lines of the G. Sorry I didn't take a closeup of it.

Are you saying the stripes were tape, and not paint? IMO, Tape is tacky. No pun intended.

BASE ACURA TLX NOW WANT A G35 AGAIN THOUGH
Re: More pics of Lakeshore Slate & Segengeti Sand G35C

Having worked for a dealerhship before, the pin stripes are just tape..! The charge is mainly for "labor" to install it...Personally I don't like pinstriping cars..looks cheezy...IMO

Whenever a customer didn't want the pinstripe...usually for a showroom display, it takes a good couple hours to have it removed....We used to gold plate the emblems on the Legends and TL's when I worked at Acura.

The cost on those things are less than $50.00...I've you've ever had a PROLOCK or SILENCER starter disabler system...you probably paid anywhere from $200-$500.00.
Actual cost to have the wiring harness installed, $15-$20 per car..then again, that's wholesale an we had a minimum of twenty plus cars installed each time...

The dealer shoul've ordered the NISMO styling decals not the tacky ones.

Re: 19" rims - Yah I'm not feeling it either...I was sold on the BREMBOS and the 18" rims...

Re: Interior -
It's nice..cept I don't like the clustered gadges and the clock ctr'd with the AC dispay...Everything else and the bhp and smart key...nice to have but not necessary...

NICE PICS!

BoBs =)
