I'm with the consensus on this one. The lime green one looks like it was done by an amateur. And if it was done by a professional, they clearly didn't take their time on it nor did they have any pride in their work at all. That is a definite negative in my book, for sure.

Athens Blue is a sexy color! I would choose that one in a heart beat. I agree with you that the painted OEM Rays don't look all that great. But this gives you an opportunity to take someone's "bad decisions" and use that to your advantage to turn it into something really nice. Plus, the Athens Blue already has 06-07 projectors and the 06-07 USDM tails.

The Athens Blue for sure. I was actually looking at that car and was about to get it but found my 06' IP.

Idk that price is too low for me to pass up...heres my thought process: first of all its an 06' with ALL the bells and whistles except Navi (which i hear sucks anyways), second it only has 54k miles on it. third it only costs 13.9k which i'll probably get down to 13.5 or 13.3. Fourth, there are mods already on the car that i was planning on doing to an Athens Blue G anyways (blk and blue headlights, black grill with blue emblem, smoked tails etc.) I honestly think its too good to be true. I just need the heads up from my mechanic.

Assuming I do buy the car, the first two things ill do will be to bring the original color back to the OEM Rays and tint my windows. Then a sound system. And I will save up for some rims with a blue lip or probably just powdercoat the lip the same blue and paint the brake calipers blue too. What do you guys think????

All i have to say is, i saw that car driven very hard before. I would get warranty for it.

I would never buy any car that had been previously modded because you just never know what somebody has done, find one that had an older owner (if you can) and is still totally stock... then make it your own.

Cars that look like that usually say to me that a very young person owned it and probably drove the **** out of it, no thank you! Obviously that is not going to be the case in every situation but generally speaking it is a fairly accurate assumption.

As stated... buy a warranty!!!

Best of Luck,
Jason

I wouldn't go near the green one (the interior made me shed a tear), but I'd be hesitant about the blue one.. Looks like a number of DIY mods on the car, and you can't be sure how well they were done (were the headlights properly sealed? will they fog up in a month or two? Did they paint the rims themselves? will the paint peel off in a few weeks? etc..)

Hard to say..

this is very critical, you dont want to buy a car that will fall apart in a matter of months. its very risky buying a modded G....btw the green one is hideous. the blue looks nice it just needs a drop...

I asked the same thing on G35nyc and they all tell me that the car has been driven very hard before and to stay away. So many people telling me to stay away has made me look past this g and i have already started to look for other ones. But i want to thank everyone for their opinions and help. Thanks a lot. I have found 2 other g's to consider.

What about these two? Its an 06 AT IP with 40xxx miles on it...but it seems too good to be true doesnt it? Its only $14.9k but im gonna have to go check it out.

I also saw this one too which looks really good and the price is ok i guess.

What Im really interested in is if anyone has dealt with kg suzuki or heard anything about their reputation. Because usually when something is too good to be true its not true so please lmk. The second one is a low mileage 6mt 06 AB coupe which is perfect but a bit pricey. its in the price range for a low mile 06 though i guess.

I was looking at that AB right after I got my IP and was kind of thinking "damn, I should have got that". They've been posting like 5 ads for that car on CL everyday for like 2 weeks now and no one picked it up yet. But, Get the AB for sure. Has sport and premium package and its 6MT. Way better deal than that IP.

Hey gary don't let Green Goblin hear you I think he might disagree with you lol

But I agree get the blue one unless you plan on painting the G then go with the lime since it has less miles or if you like it that's a good reason too.
