I had an irritating squeak from back there. Pulled the back seats, tightened up the rear brace and the squeak went away.

When you remove your rear seats, there is a gray brace in the shape of an X that may need to be tightened. I think there are 4 or 5 bolts total on that brace. You can't miss it when the seats are out.

Take it out. The bottom is one piece that just pulls out and the backs/console are help on by bolts. On a scale of 1-10 this is about a 1.5 in difficulty if that.

Ok thanks. And the X brace will be under the seat right?
They just randomly go loose?

Yep. A lot of things do in the G. Which includes the sun roof railing, the rear axle bolts and even the glue holding the sunroof glass. LOL

Hmm, maybe this is my issue too. Just re-did my headliner and now I hear some rattling in the rear seat. I was going to un-install the seat again so I could look to see if I may have not tightened down the rear seat belt harness all the way but I'll keep eye out on the braces as well.

Thanks Tim.

No worries guys. Amkulata, the brace is behind the seat backs, not under the seats themselves. You really can't miss it.

Check the sway bar endlinks. I have a coupe and I used to get a thunking noise. It could be a popping noise for you. I have a new problem now. It seems like the suspension on the rear passenger side is loose or something. When the right side goes over a bump or pot hole in the road I get a very bad noise. I still have to put my sway bar back on, but I can't get the stupid endlinks off.
