Constant Power on Passenger Side Cigarette Lighter Plug
Hey all...I just came from a 03 Maxima to a 04 g35 and in my max I had a wire in the fuse panel jumped Cigarette Lighter Plug jumped from another fuse in the panel in order to leave a battery plugged in and charging like I did in my old car. But When I did, the radio stayed on even after the key was turned off. So I thought it was pretty cool and that I could just turn the radio off and be fine...but needless to say the battery died while I was in Publix Super Market. But this is a must have for me. So tomorrow I'm going to try to use the drivers side, and hopefully it wont behave the same. I am going to check the FSM Wiring diagram tonight first to see if I can gain some foresight on this.

Here ya go finally.
Please remove your negative terminal on your battery once u decide on what wire your going to use.
Ok well here we go. I first was planning on running a wire from under the hood, but after some though I figured it would be easier / a shorter run if I just found a wire in the car that already had constant power going to it by using either a test light or a multimeter.
And if you want to use another wire im sure one of these may work out well also
Im short on time but pictures are worth a thousand words, if you have any questions just post em. but it works.
Make sure u totally cut the positive wire so that you will not be sending a constant 12v signal to the rest of the components on the other side of the wire.
I should have used one of these to tap into the line to make it look clean, but I couldn't find them in the garage so I just used a razor to take the cable housing off. Its not like its going to be visible any how.
Ran the wire around the back
Connect it
Tested it
Finish

No pic's of the carnage haha. I didn't know older model G's have different cigarette lighters. Mine is just under the radio, above the shifter. Basically same thing pictured above, except in an 06's lighter. It fits a lot deeper into the slot though. I can still put the lighter in there (although it won't function the OEM way; nothing will happen xd).
