In the US at last, and now need new tranny

I haven't driven my car in what seems like months but has only been several weeks and two days back with my baby, I find out that I need a new transmission. I took it in for it's 26K oil change and mentioned to the service manager that whenever I try to shift up from 4th to 5th or shift down from 6th to 5th, it grinds. They said they'd look at it and when I picked it up this afternoon, they tell me that I'll have to bring it back next week for a brand-spankin' new tranny. I remember hearing about tranny problems a while back from other G35driver members but never thought it would happen to me. Should I be happy for this or sad??

Don't worry, be happy! Hey, at least you get a new transmission for free. It's probably a later revision of the tranny, so there is a better chance that you will not have this problem again.

The Bush tax cut is ~$3500 per middle class family.
