New owner, guess I should introduce myself...
Hello,
Just purchased a G35, particulars listed:
2007 Coupe
Auto
Diamond Graphite w/ grey leather
Sport Package
Premium Package
33,500 miles
In date: 7/30/07 (still have bumper-to-bumper warranty)
$20,500
I've already chimed in on a thread, so figured I'd introduce myself. 37 years old, family man, etc. First Nissan/Infiniti auto, have had Frontiers for years including the S/C a few years back.
I've got a 1989 Cougar XR7 5-speed in the garage as a project car, a few mods so far. I spend way too much on computers as well
I'll be going the route of Grounding Gear, 5/16 Plenum (not sure on MREV, I'm not convinced it's good for non-rev A/T yet) and probably intake.
I'm sure I'll look into FI since it's my preferred aspiration.
I'm in the Atlanta area, if anyone has meets or dyno runs to check out.
Thanks,
Josh

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new car.
Don't have your heart set on any mods just yet..drive for a few weeks and determine what your needs are with this car. It is very capable out of the box and you might not need everything you read on the forums.

Completely agree on waiting, no hurry to mod yet. Just thoughts on what I'm looking at.
From what I've read here, the Grounding Gear is probably the first thing I'll do. I've noticed the shift lag in the sedans before, and now in the Coupe.
What's nice is there are minimal mods for these cars, as compared to the untapped and restrictive Cougar

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

Hell yeah, another member with a little age and experience under his belt. Welcome OP and thanks for bringing the median age of the forum up a little.
Welcome aboard, Josh..........great choice; you won't regret it.
Not even close.
After 4 years/2 months and 28000 miles of (often) hi-speed pampering, I am still learning new things about this vehicle that have me loving it even more.
EXAMPLE (recent track test): 100 mph in 4th gear = 4800 rpm (with peak HP @ 6200? I like.)
In fact, got some props from service tech @ the dealership this weekend, who noticed & commented on the healthy state and operation of the engine, responsive throttle, etc. (all with no engine mods whatsoever.)
And we've basically got the same model/color/options, since the 06 and 07s are essentially the same. (Except for wiper-blade replacements as I recently noticed in Walmart.)
Also, you're in the ATL, which means you're right there where Forged Performance is for the FI stuff - assuming you're not a DIY guy with the expertise (I'm not) or already have a shop you know of.
So, you enjoy the drives, *be safe, and yeah......please post pics when available.
*29-year old dude in W. Palm Beach just sliced up an M3 - literally, in half - after leaving the "Players Club" rather shipfaced. But we don't play that drinking & driving stuff.........median age raisers like ourselves.
Allegedly could not negotiate a curve. Guess not; paid with his life:

I added a quick iPhone pic to My Garage.
Attaching here...
Also, the Nankang Ultra Sport NS-II tires seem be absolute ****. Unfortunately the dealer put new ones on
My only gripe
