the reason some of us are asking the offset is to understand if you need to stretch your tires or not

11.5 -30 and 11.5 +30 are a HUGE difference when it comes to tire sizes so I suggest you do a lot more searching before you make a stupid mistake like stretch when you don't need to

Lol, same sh*t? As Dre said, do some research. The lower the offset, the more the wheel sticks out the fender. The higher the offset, the more it's sunken in towards the brakes.

Here's a great example....

Both sedans have 11's on in the rear. The top one I believe has a +30 or 35 offset, something like that. The bottom one is running a -12 offset.

Top one has a 295/25 tire I think. Bottom one has a 235/35.

You can tell that the top one doesn't have much camber while the bottom one has a lot of camber. That's because the wheel is further out and if the bottom one had the same size tires as the top one, then the wheels wouldn't fit. Alternatively, if the top one had the same size tires as the bottom, it will have a gap between the fender and not look flush, thus unnecessary. Make sense?

i understand what your trying to say... but what im trying to say is that a 245/35 stretch on an 11.5 +30 SHOULD be the same as a 245/35 stretch on an 11.5 -30 they might not fit on the same car but thats not addressing my question. im not asking whether or not my wheels are going to fit my car i know they will my question is will a 245/35 fit an 11.5 or will i need to run a 255/35 that is all. its not that complicated lol. i dont need a whole explination on tire stretching lol. but thanks though i appreciate u trying to help but i still dont have the answer im looking for.

i know what your trying to say. in my case its not that drastic of a scale lol. my problem is if i can fit a 245/35 on an 11.5 inch wide tire rather than a 255/35 i wouldnt have to run more negative camber and wear out my tires quicker. im not trying to figure out whether or not they'll fit my car.

You're asking for advice. And people's advice was what the offsets were so they would know whether it would fit the car or whether a stretch is needed. If your concern wasn't whether it fits the car, just fitting the tire on the wheel, that shoulda been mentioned.

I'm running a 235/35 on a 11 so yes, a 245/35 will on an 11.5. Just don't get a tire that runs small. Basically you'd have another 10mm on the tire to stretch an additional 12.5mm. It will be a very slight more of a stretch than what I have and you won't have any problems with it sitting on the wheel without any problems.

Maybe im reading it wrong, but wouldn't he have another 10mm of tire to stretch over 25.5mm? Going one inch wider on the wheel, not half inch wider. Or are you saying 12.5mm more stretch with the 245/11.5 vs 235/10.5?

Hehe, thanks man. Fronts are 5" and rears are 5.7". I did reverse lip to give the illusion of a much larger lip. I wish I would have gone with 19" rears though so the face sizes matched.

Ok, 11.5 +25, guess what, you don't need to stretch a 245/35.

Go back and read your threads and look how much you've asked, now don't make a thread acting like some hot shot who knows offsets and stretch.

You're stretching for looks, and that is stupid, the fact that you said you're mimicking someone else's offsets and then trying to hide it is "gay" as you would like to call it.

I'm sorry to be an *** here but you're coming a cross like an idiot.

We're more than happy to help, but so far you're looking for picture to look.

Here is my last bit of help towards you if you keep being weird towards help and advice.

This is a 245/40 on a 12, 245/35 on an 11.5 will look pretty close to this aside from a little more peel on the lip protector, so it also depends pretty heavily on what tires you go with. If you Stretch Generals, it will look like this. If you stretch Falkens, it will not look anything like this. There's more than just the print on the tire that goes along with stretching.
