ECU Resetting after Z-tube Install?

I've read a few posts indicating you need to reset the ECU immediately once airflow has been altered (i.e. z tube installed). This will help the car adjust faster.

Is this really needed? If I don't do the ECU resetting procedure, will the car eventually adapt to the new airflow modification? If so how long would this take?

I didn't really want to attempt the ECU reset, afraid I could screw something up.

Thanks in advance!

I reset my ECU after any change but there are many who think the ECU adapts quickly anyway---don't know how quickly tho.
You won't hurt anything by resetting it and it's easy to do....just follow the directions carefully should you decide to do it.
