check the inlet, I know people have replaced x02 tips with MD tips, but I know the x02 is bigger than oem so I doubt it would fit...

If I were having the MD tips installed I go to a muffler shop where they could drop the mufflers down, cut off the old tips and weld the new ones on. It's important they get welded on straight so they don't look fugly....Gary

I found the ones I have posted in the thread. Just not sure if it'll fit. Would be sweet if theres a slip cover over the oem tips.

Where did you find those tips? I wouldnt mind switching out my oem tips for them!

as I posted in a different thread, i dont want to change the oem exhaust tone, but want it to look different. Esp. with the years, the tips look beat up.

I like the slight burnt look.
3M makes a rubbing compound. I used it for my oem tips and it cleaned them up really well. Maybe try it in an inconspicuous area and see if it helps?
