New g35 owner ;0

I just recently bought an 03' G35 Coupe w/Auto trans.

I have to say I do truly love this car already. Every time I accelerate I think of how jealous others must be of my bad *** stock exhaust.

I do have a few issues with it already though.

I have a stuck caliper on the right hand (passenger) rear. I am getting a new (refurb) caliper installed tomorrow. I had the rear brake pads and rotors done by the same guy earlier this week and I am unsure if he properly knows how to bleed the brake lines which concerns me. He is swapping the caliper for $20 since he made a nice penny of me for my brake job.

What are the repercussions of not bleeding the lines when swapping a caliper?

Also I am having an interesting clicking sound when I cold start the G. It goes away immediately but is consistent with every cold start.

I realize these are 'common' problems with the vehicle but does anyone know what this sound is?

Sorry for flamin'

Clicking sound or ticking sound? Only way to be sure is to take it to a mechanic. It can be anything from normal noise such as ABS self-test, or the injectors. OR, it could be bad engine bearings or a blown ring.

Always check your oil.

The VQ is NOT the quietest engines out there. It has more pings than a Chinese Ping Pong League filled with billions of people and each have 10 ping pongs.

If you dont blled the brakes after a caliper replacement you will little to no brake pedal(as is going to the floor).Brake fluid is not compressable but air is.

Jarvo, the noise you hear when you start your G in the morning is the VDC turning on, no worries. Without fail your brake lines need to be blead! Without doing so could result in two things (1) you could die! (2) you would surely crash! Do you understand why it's important?

I don't want to start up a new thread for this but what are the name of the wheels on my G?

Does anyone on the forum have them painted in flat black?

Thanks for the help

They're the stock/OEM 18's. Just search for them on this site and I'm sure you'll find a ton of picture threads

call your local infiniti dealer to see if the airbag recall has been done. if not, bring it in for the recall. its free and more than likely why the light is flashing.
