After a really long winter here in Chicago.. and an absence here on Driver
I decided to just take off my winter wheels/tires and put back on my summer wheels.
Snow is melted and it may snow a bit more but I can take another car out if needed, I just couldn't wait any longer.I already did a whole bunch of maintenance to the coupe over the winter such as replace the brakes with slotted rotors and hawk pads and usual upkeep stuff, etc etc.
I originally had Falken 452's up front and Hankook S1 Evo's in the rear..
The Hankook's were toast and I sold the Falkens, so I purchased brand new Michelin Pilot Sport's..
Sizing was different slightly.
Old setup was
245/35/19 F
275/35/19 R
New setup is:
245/40/19 F
275/35/19 R
Well anyways obviously with new tires the car seriously rides like it's on a cotton cloud
I never had these tires on my car before but I kid you not, got goosebumps when I started driving the car, the difference in ride quality compared to my last year's setup was night and day. Which I expected.
It felt really great to take my car out again and make it all clean for the day- given that I had the flu and bronchitis among other things the past week or so - I really enjoyed my time with the car today.
I envy you folks on the west and southeast coast..
I haven't posted much on Driver much lately due to my uncle whom I was very close to passed away last month due to a very brief and painful battle to pancreatic cancer. (Rest in peace, Uncle Richard). But I think right now after a still struggling recovery, I'm glad to be back on here as a bit more 'active' member like I used to be and learn new things as always and share what I learn as well.
As I stated long ago I don't know if I'll sell the G or keep it and purchase a sedan or whatnot but either way this place is always another home for me. (I still can't seem to buy new things for it even though I'm selling off old stuff as well with the initial thought of parting out). So I also just wanted to thank you guys on Driver for providing me with laughs and support whenever I've always needed it, and the occasional smack upside the head too.
Thank you, Drivers.. I mean that sincerely.
Warmest regards,
Jeff

I still have no clue what is next...

Welcome back, sorry to hear about your uncle. I also consider a lot of "Drivers" to be a part of my extended family and you're definitely one of them. Hang in there and enjoy your new goodies.
I live in denver and I rocked falken fk452's all winter.... Let me tell you! I hate driving street tires in the snow. And its supposed to snow Friday and Saturday!
