Thanks for the compliment everyone. I have made a breakdown with all the costs associated and put it in my first post.
-Aluminum Square Tube - $25
-2" to 1.25" Adapter and pins - $30
-Labor to get tube welded in place - $60
-Cost of Bike Rack - $200
-Locking Receiver Pin - $20
-Bike Rack Locks - $10
Total Cost $345

Did you design yours the same way that I did? Just curious because you are moving a lot more weight that I am.
Very nice. I think that one is better than mine.
How hard is it to put the 2" locking pin in place? Putting mine in place is kind of a pain, and it looks like you have to get your hands up behind the bumper pretty to connect it.

No, I got a trailer hitch for a 91 Honda Prelude... Its width was just a little wider than the distance between bumper supports on the G35 Coupe. Cut the ends off and welded it to the bumper supports. welded plate steel to the hitch going upwards and bolted those through the inner bumper... It was on there solid... with the biker and trailer hooked up, and me weighing just under 200 pounds... I could/would bounce on the tongue of the trailer and there was no give at all in the hitch.

Its a little difficult the first few times I did it. Now I can do it in a matter of seconds. Worth the hassle to have a hidden setup.

Well after a few weeks and a close inspection all is still great and holding up strong. I have been using it at least 3-4 times every week. Loving every minute of it!



It was VERY handy....
