Help! Is my G consuming too much oil?

Hey guys im kind of a noob when it comes to checking oil, anyway i got an oil change (synthetic) done by infiniti about a month ago. I heard that the 05-07 coupes were having problems with oil consumption. At 63k miles im worried. I took a pic, is the oil low? its an 07 6mt coupe with rev up.

edit: i checked oil with the car off. should i check it with it on?

thanks in advance

It's only about a half quart low. How many miles have you driven since you changed it?

btw you want to check it with the car off and it's been sitting for 5 minutes or so. It looks like you did.

If you had the oil change done at the dealership don't forget they don't believe in putting 5 quarts in. Always check your oil level when you get home from having it done. Last time I had the dealership change my oil my dip stick looked exactly like that after 90 days....I don't use any between changes! You're good....

Nissan mechanic of 20+ years told me the level should be in the middle of the dipstick for these engines and if your level is all the way at the mark right below the H it is slightly over-filled. He did not say it would hurt anything, just that optimal is in the middle.

You need to check it over time, like every couple weeks, to determine if you are using oil. Higher mileage cars will generally use some oil between oil changes, this is normal.
