Tire Pressure Monitoring light!

Does anyone know if you can reset this damn light or is it a job for infiniti? It's been on for days now but all 4 tires at 35 PSI.

I seem to recall this being discussed before. If you do a search I believe you will find that the problem discussed was that one of the sending units inside the wheel has gone bad and needs to be replaced.

Re: Tire Pressure Monitoring light!

Were you measuring it cold? A 35psi reading after running for 5miles or more could read below 30psi cold. I'm not sure if it's the same case but I did have a similar problem before, I was like, wtf it's 34psi already and still my TPM is lit. The next day I measure it cold and it read about 28psi. Went to station and pumped air, TPM turned off after a few minutes.

We'll see a lot of TPM lighting up in the next few weeks as the temp drops especially in the NE.

I think you have to drive a certain amount of mileage in order for it to reset and stuff. I could be wrong, but I had the same problem (orange exclamation light), pumped up the tires, then drove like 20 miles or so in one trip and it went away. But the orange light didn't go away after a few small trips after I pumped up the tires.

Re: Tire Pressure Monitoring light!

All four of my tires had droped about 5psi from the cooler temps - which reminds me that I should check my spare. Waited for the tires to cool down, added air, and the light went away the next time I drove. Didn't really notice when it went away, but I haven't had a problem since.

Re: Tire Pressure Monitoring light!

not sure about the driving a certain amount of miles in order for it to reset...

I had mine come on then after stopping by a gas station and filling, it went away when i got in the car...

Second time i did the same thing but it went away a few minutes later after i had driven a few miles...

They probably used the cheapest tire pressure sensor on the market lol...

Re: Tire Pressure Monitoring light!

I got the Accutire #4020. comes with 5 yr warranty..got a good review on consumer reports.

this tire gauge is digital and the calibrations wont be affected if you drop it on the ground (like you do with the needle ones)
