I have the Z1 polished Z-tube. I tried to use the couplers that came with it, mine are black. The one close to the air filter needs to bend. Z1 sends a straight one. I ended up using the stock coupler at the filter end. I used the Z1 at the other end, but the engine cover covers most of it. By the way, my polished Z-tube has the vacuum hose connector on the bottom instead of the top of the Z-tube. Still works, I just moved the hose to the bottom.

Talking Parts Arrived!!!

Thanks to my friends at b2autodesigns.com and z1motorsports.com, my parts came today!!

Here are some pics, as requested:

Pretty Sweet.

Just a couple of pictures of the condition of the parts when they got here...

It seems the bottom face of the mrev2 is a little scratched, but it likely won't matter once the gasket is oiled and in place:

The mrev2 also shipped with this little plastic tube protecting it! Yay!

Lastly, and I know this is hard to see, it seems the ztube is a little dirty inside. I'll make sure to wipe it out good before installing:

Let me know what you guys think!!

Looking good. You should work on the exhaust now that the intake is improved, the OEM cats are the largest restriction in the exhaust.

I don't want my car to sound any louder or dronier than it does...I've been told whatever I do to the exhaust will make it louder...

Install Complete - Comparison Video

I did the install this weekend. It took about 4 hours. I have some pics from the install, I will upload them later, but for now, here is a little video I made comparing the stock sound to the new. Its 720p on the main youtube site, but the mic on my camera sucks. Also, the car was very dirty...can't wait till summer. Let me know what you think!

I think the removal of the G-Tube removed some of the warble as the rpms drop, and the throttle response is much faster. She doesn't sound any louder, but maybe a little meaner than before.

I do notice more acceleration, especially in 3rd gear. I didn't get a chance to touch the plenum and see how much cooler it is.

I spent about that much, but got enough for 2 oil changes. Closer to 900 for the parts and 1 oil change.
