Clear bra install

I'm getting a clear bra installed soon. Should the existing wax be stripped off before putting the clear bra on?

Yes, the wax should be stripped off. I would use a claybar, and maybe wash w/ Dawn before claying.

Talk to your installer though. Really, the prep is extremely important, and they should claybar it as part of their procedure. If there is any debris on the paint, you will see little bumps in the clearbra.

Re: Clear bra install

Your installer will use isopropyl alcohol to remove any wax, zaino, tar, bug guts, etc... If you have not clayed your car, it would be a good idea to do in advance.

Also, seriously consider going for the FULL HOOD. I've got about 10 chips ABOVE my c-bra on my hood (thank GOD for touch up paint). Really wished that I would have paid the extra for the job to have "been done right".
