Had to have right front hub assembly replaced on the X for a bad wheel bearing; done under waranty.

So yes, I do have some concerns about these cars. However, it would be naive to assume that this type of thing would not be an issue for BMW 3 series cars. They cost more to begin with, routine costs are higher and they have their own set of well known issues as well.

If I had to buy two cars to replace them, right now, I'd still probably go with Infiniti. Nothing else appeals to me as much. Never been a BMW fan. Plus, too many friends with BMWs with lots of extremely expensive and frutstrating problems.

And quite frankly, for the same money, I don't know of anything else on the market that would be a replacement for the G35 coupe (2+2, at least some trunk). Maybe the Hyundai Genesis.
If I were in the market for a car to replace my 05 Coupe, this car would be at the top of my list. I LOVE these!

There is a very good reason why the Hyundai Genesis coupe is like a G. It is a direct knock off of the G. Hyundai brought the coupe out after the success of the G35 coupe. It like everything else Hyundai makes is a copy of a successful more expensive car. It's worked for Hyundai and they are made in the US so it's good for our economy.

It doesnt matter if you shift over to another brand, issues will still persist, they will just be different.

So far i havent experienced the "known" issues yet so maybe im just a lucky case, i have 92k on my 04 MB 6MT coupe. Only done a couple things before I deployed as you can see in my sig...VVVVVV

if your turned off by nissan because of the unreliability issues, then switching to a german car is going to be even worst. NEVER own a german car outside of warranty. I use own a mercedes and i spent a small fortunate keeping up with maintence. Take whatever you spent to maintain your g35 and multiply by 5 and thats what you would've spent on maintaining a german car.

Nissan is less reliable then honda or toyota but a lot more reliable then a german car.

If you want something more reliable then just buy a lexus or acura.

If you want a german car, just buy CPO warranty car or a new one and trade it in before the warranty expires.

I think all cars have problems. It seems like sometimes its just luck. I beat on my Honda like a red headed step child and it kept on ticking with just minor repair bills. I know others who had a honda, babied it and had waaaay more problems than me and I was turbo.

TBH if they had LHD/US spec Hyundai's here in the UK, I would have purchased a new Genesis vs a used G. Purchasing and shipping would just be too much hassle....

So I had to 'settle' for a nice used G Coupe =)

True, all car have their problems. But the G35 Coupe is by the one of the cars with the MOST problems I have ever owned. And the Service Provided by Infiniti is CRAP compared to those I received at Acura and Toyota.

My car has another issue, But I'm not even taking it to the dealership because I been there to many god damn times.

Matter of fact, I have FREE oil changes for another 1 1/2 year and I don't feel like driving back to Infiniti. lol

Maybe you just got a lemon. Any car is a risk, but statistically you're better off with Infiniti over any German brand.

No, a lemon would be if the SAME problem keeps on coming back.

The G35 has over 90 TSB.

I didn't really mean that in the literal sense of a vehicle which fits the legal definition under a lemon law...I guess I just meant that maybe you ended up with a bad one overall.

Okay since iv started this post, I taken my car to get fixed (suspension).
During the time they provided me with a g37 loaner and was first quoted 740.00 but I needed the fix done as I was only waiting for a tire to pop due to the suspension issue.

Well the unfortunate day happened, so I took my car in.

Now having the car loaner for a week, I just enjoyed the ride. Returning the car, paying 1700.00 (why the 1k jump, I have no idea and I honestly just get tired of hearing bull**** so I paid it).

I came to the conslusion, I enjoyed the g37, so I bought the g37.

a 2008 (I dont think paying an extra 25k for an 2011 is worth the small changes) Ivory Pearl g37 sport coupe with black interior.

I AM HAPPY.

Smooth ride and when I see the Audi's and BMW's I have no regret.

Here is a couple pics
