Headlight cutting out
Now that it is dark in the morning I noticed on my way to work that when I hit a bump the drivers side headlight goes out. If the fog light is on, it stays on. If I turn off the headlights and turn them back on the headlight comes back on.
It appears to be a short somewhere, anyone have a suggestion for what may need to be replaced? |
thats funny that same thing just started happening to me..

Most likely a loose wire, or your ballast might be going out
|
Have you checked the plugs and everything yet?

If I'm right there's something wrong with your igniter being loose and not being able to fully lock onto the bulb. I think this happens every so often to some people.

^Yep same thing happened to me....The plug on the bulb got loose after a while and would turn off the headlight every time I hit a big bump in the road.

No its not your bulbs. Its the round connector that goes to the back. Over time they loosen up they have a spring wire to hold them onto the bulb tight.
Just push it back on and you will be fine. Takes two minutes. You can reach it from the engine bay. |
