Headlight cutting out

Now that it is dark in the morning I noticed on my way to work that when I hit a bump the drivers side headlight goes out. If the fog light is on, it stays on. If I turn off the headlights and turn them back on the headlight comes back on.

It appears to be a short somewhere, anyone have a suggestion for what may need to be replaced?

Most likely a loose wire, or your ballast might be going out

Not yet. I am waiting for the weekend so I have some daylight since it is dark before and after work.

If I'm right there's something wrong with your igniter being loose and not being able to fully lock onto the bulb. I think this happens every so often to some people.

^Yep same thing happened to me....The plug on the bulb got loose after a while and would turn off the headlight every time I hit a big bump in the road.

I don't believe so, but I just bought the car a couple of months ago.

So, you just went in through the wheel area and tightened things?

No its not your bulbs. Its the round connector that goes to the back. Over time they loosen up they have a spring wire to hold them onto the bulb tight.

Just push it back on and you will be fine. Takes two minutes. You can reach it from the engine bay.
