Air leaking from tire stem?

I have a slow leak and the air seems to be leaking from the tire stem.
Can I get this fixed at a regular tire shop or do I have to bring it to the dealer?I asked this because I heard that the stem is connected to the tire pressure sensor..true?

Any tire shop with knowledge of the TPMS can fix this issue. Sounds like you have a bad seal around the stem or the stem may be bad itself.

I'm thinking it might be a bad seal because it's not leaking from the top of tge steam(were u pump air at) but it's leaking from the bottom

Okay. The TPMS basically just screws onto the valve stem so it shouldn't be a biggy. If you go to a Town Fair Tire they should be able to take care of it.

+1, any reputable tire shop can handle it. Call ahead, tell them the stem is leaking you don't know where and you have TMPS, and ask them to quote a stem replacement.

The Infiniti Stealership is the last place you want to go, if it's tire/wheel related always go to a reliable tire store in your area. If the sensor is bad and needs replacing check with a Nissan dealership, the cost will be considerably less!

I had air leaking from the valve stem, and it ended up being a crack in the metal stem itself of the TPMS, and the whole thing needed to be replaced. They can usually be found pretty cheap on the forums though.
