uhmm well its not really a conversion but I think..... leaving the doors alone is a nice mod, max I would do is shave the door handles off... but even that i would be hesitant to do because the doors are dead sexy by themselves

No worries. I would recommend taking the majority of these responses with a grain of salt. I'm sure most of the guys don't mean it as a personal attack, they are just letting you know what they think in their own way. That's the beauty/beast of an internet forum. Driver is by far the most informative forum on the net for the G35 and there is a lot to learn here. So you're on the right track in wanting to know about your car, but I would recommend reading a LOT and getting proficient with the Search function as you will find most of the questions you will come up with will have been discussed over and over again. And if you do post up a not so popular question, just get ready for the comments good and bad and take what you need from the feedback and ignore the rest.

If you have any specific questions after searching and don't feel like taking a chance posting up a thread about it feel free to PM me and I'll do the best I can to answer them. Some folks here forget that they were n00bs once as well.

Don't sweat the small stuff man. People express things in different ways. If you wanna do the doors do em. If it makes you smile when you open them then it is worth forking the dough out for them. If it makes you feel better I debated long and hard to do them on my old turbo..this car. I say go for it.

The doors will only be nice for a while. After about a year you will not like them because they cause damage to your interior. After a while your door will also sag and it will not close with ease. Also if you do decide to do it, you will need to extend the wire properly and make sure when you close the door it doesn't get squeezed and catch on fire. Speaking from lambo door experience when I was a teen

Alright so not that my opinion matters or I know anything About cars... But...

I judge car shows. I hate gullwing, Lamborghini doors or suicide doors on cars. I think they look horrible. No matter my opinion I still need to give the person points for modification no matter how much I hate it. Doesnt mean they will win. I thought they were cool back in like 2001. If you like it, do it. The shocks don't last and you will end up bending your fenders out when they fail. Go buy a body kit and paint it nice. Get an alarm with window roll up if opening the door is a problem. Climb out the window and hit the alarm; the windows will roll up.
