I'm just curious for peace of mind.. I hear stories of it being under the bumper or something for some cars and car thieves can just reach under and cut it... is our's deep in the engine bay?

What the, now that's being too ****! I'm just curious because if it is located at the bottom end of the front bumper I'd go get an after market alarm system and have the installer put it towards the inner part of the hood

dennis, it is behind/atop the front bumper brace. it seems to be fairly hard to get to and is separate from the engine bay. i noticed it after that suv tore my front bumper off
