Certainly an issue, 200rpm is far too low, and if it was a typo and you meant 2000, that is too high. Usually want to be around 800 (warmed up at idle) I believe.

Nissan idle tolerances are lower than most. In reality, the car should idle somewhere between 600-700 RPMs. 800 RPMs isn't bad, either, by any means.

But if your car is idling at 200 RPMs, you've got issues.

Just a curious question. Are you sure you're not reading the tach wrong? Because it jumps from 0-500, and my tach needle generally floats right above the 500 mark at idle. I've gotten confused before and mistook the 500 mark as my car idling at 200...

200 rpm would indeed stall, must be a typo.

At cold start the car will rev up to around 2000 rpm but should drop lower almost instantly to around 1600 (then fairly quickly to 1200) and then as it warms you should end up somewhere between 600-800.

If it truly does (somehow) idle at 200 rpm then something is definitely wrong (or the gauge/sensor is wrong).

+1. He's reading it wrong.

It's not the first time someone has started a thread like this after misreading the tach.
