Aero Effectiveness Question

I like the Ivory coupe without the spoiler but don't want to undercut performance at high speed. So, at what speed does the spoiler assist in maintaining coupe stability ?? TIA. ...dean

Re: Aero Effectiveness Question

i am sure that you would not be able to tell a difference at anything below 80mph and even then it will be hard for the average person to tell.

mainly the 'zero lift' has benefits in excess of 100mph in terms of stablity.

Re: Aero Effectiveness Question

as far as i know the spiler just greats more drag. what you should get are the under diffusers for highspeed keeping your car low to the ground instead of it rising up and feeling like your floating.

Re: Aero Effectiveness Question

The spoiler on the G35's, when bought as part of the Aero Package, comes with underbody diffusers and the total package actually reduces drag by 0.01Cd.

Re: Aero Effectiveness Question

yea it only reduces drag in extreme speeds. But anything for normal driving creates drag. But we are talking in such minute numbers here.

Re: Aero Effectiveness Question

Black plastic panels that bolt to the underside of the car to cover up the car guts to make a smooth surface for air to travel along.

Re: Aero Effectiveness Question

The underbody spoilers can actually force the air in a direction that pulls the car onto the road, btw.

I like the stable and well-planted feel of the car at speeds.
