FULL carbon fiber bumper... should i do eeete?

My final post,
OP please do a quick search on google about painting a carbonfiber piece. Because of its manufacturing processes the surface is NOT completely smooth and will be very noticeable with a reflective surface (paint). To make it smooth the bodyshop will have to use more then just 2k primer. They'll need to smooth out the surface themselves which will take a lot of labor.
Also because of the gelcoat the end corners of carbonfiber will "bump up" just a little bit compared to the rest this is especially true on non vacummed pieces.
If anything please consult your local shop first before purchasing a full carbon bumper

OP id be interested in seeing how it would come out with your IP
I would not have any bumper on my G but polyurethane, and they're hard enough to keep paint on. Just seems to me that c/f would be too brittle unless you're creating a "Garage Queen" that never sees the street.

I read on My350Z.com that most of those guys will only buy CF anything from Klumzyee or whatever the name. Eric i guess. They said dont buy anywhere else... But ill do my own research and post back.

Cf work can be done anywhere. We have done ton a cf custom projects for customers...if your looking to paint most that bumper your best bet would be to custom lay cf on portions of the bumper you wanna leave in carbon. Would be more cost effective
So dustin if i buy a front bumper from you, a poly bumper would the prep time be less? Im really looking for a quality product that wont cost me $800+ just for prep... Again, the last CS w/CF diffuser was a real hassle...

They can fit it to a g35.. it would be shipped to you& you would just need to have shop spray it. =]
the shop works w. Custom jobs and aftermarket parts about 9/10 customer cars.

Why get carbon and then paint it? I would rather get a Polyurethane bumper. Which is more flexible and in return more durable than fiberglass and carbon.
What's the point of a carbon fiber bumper anyways? What happens in a minor accident? How much would it cost to repair it?
makes no sense to get a carbon fiber bumper.

The original point is that I was told full CF bumpers need no prep work at all. Just paint and fit. Thats worth the additional cost to compensate for the prep costs.
Sounds good dustin let me know im deff interested.

Damn guess I missed the vendor "explanations" lol seems like there is a new vendor that's a contender..btw I don't see what the point of a full CF bumper is either but there are a lot of other questionable mods I don't understand guess if the market is there someone will be willing to make it $
