Ok drivers,

This thread is unproductive, there are other threads dealing with 0-60 times for different vehicles and a whole drag racing / track section. I do not in anyway condone of street racing and I encourage everyone here not to participate is such an uncontrolled and illegal not to mention dangerous activity. Either keep this to a facts based discussion (of legal motorsports) or leave it alone. No matter who makes their point, no one wins a flame war.

$.02 given

Yeah, and? I read and post in a lot of threads.

I don't see the point of this thread because saying "I beat 'so and so' car's on the street", doesn't necessarily mean that our cars are faster than them. All it means is that you just happened to "win" and be a better driver that time.

If you really want to know which car's our G's are faster than, compare stock 1/4 mile track times of various car's at the same track. It won't be perfect because of all the variables, but it'll give you a much more realistic idea of what car's you are faster than.

Not to flame or hate on anyone but I was under the impression that any thread reguarding street racing would get closed and deleted by a moderator.......but whatever

The G looks more unique and has better aesthetics. The 335 looks like every other bmw made. Plus they lack that sexy stock exhaust and every rich daddys girl drives one.

Its also cause ive only had my G for a couple months so I'm still in love with it.
You're thinking of the 328 for all the girls lol and the G looking better is a matter of opinion. I'm glad you like your car man, enjoy it, it's a great ride.

Early models have issues with the HPFP and some issues with hitting limp mode on the track. A few have actually hit limp mode while just driving around in hot *** AZ weather. The oil cooler became standard on all 335s in second quarter of 08, and they retro fitted it to any cars that had the issue. The HPFP is also covered under warranty, and they warranty those for 8 years or 120,000 miles.

That being said, the Gs have just as many issues, if not more than the 335. Either way, to each their own. The G is a nice car, the 335 is just a bit better, but it's to be expected, it's a newer platform. If I had to choose between an E46 330 or a G35, I'd take the G35 any day.

08+ is turbo and also the faster stock FWD ever made. The pre-08s were supercharged and were decent. They new ones make over 330whp with just a tune and are around 275whp out of the box. It's a fast car and it holds the record at Nurburgring for FWDs right now.

335's were almost considered lemons... Gs haven't.

We are hoping our wisdom might save a few lives that stupid drivers may take. Unless you want to argue that it's cool to accidentally kill innocent people. I'd like to see that argument.
