Plenum gasket question

Just wanted to know since I am changing my valve covers; is it necessary to change out the plenum gaskets (at the intake manifold & at the plenum) when I disassemble and reassemble them ?? Or can I use the same gaskets when reassembling everything back together ??

Sure you could use the old gaskets but for what they cost I always replace my gaskets when I remove/change parts, it's just good insurance! That goes for plenum and exhaust gaskets too, I'd dislike putting it back together and discover I had a leak....

^ Agree. If you are already there you may as well replace them

It's a metal gasket so it won't wear like a traditional gasket, but if you reuse it make sure you don't bend it at all. You'll suffer from a vacuum leak that will drive you nuts. Happened to a friend of mine when we installed a MD spacer and it took us a while to figure it out.
