2006 G35 coupe...sport suspension package?
Hey guys,
New poster here in the market for a 2005-2007 white G35 coupe < $20k w/ AT, Premium, Aero, and Sports Suspension package. I found one in my area for a reasonable price, clean CarFax, and decent miles.
I made an appointment to check the car out tomorrow until I just recently looked at the pictures online (they didn't have pictures as of yesterday when I emailed them)
http://www.rosenthaljeep.com/detail....tOrderBy=5%2C0
One of the reasons I want the sports-suspension package is because I really like the look of the 19" OEM Alloy wheels, which this certainly does not have. But then I noticed it has aluminum pedals and the leather stitched steering wheel (i think?), which are normally part of the sports package (from my research). Can anyone tell if this in fact has the sports suspension and just has the crappy wheels? If so, do you think it's worth it to get it anyways and get aftermarket rims or the OEM's off ebay/craigslist? I don't have any plans for any big mods other than tints...maybe a drop.
Thanks all, appreciate the help.

PS: What do you think about this one?

The CarFax and AutoCheck both come out clean...but this dealer is really shady from the reviews I've read. Plus...I've KBB this car and they are pricing it way below KBB, so it makes me question the car

other than the wheels it appears to have all the other sports package parts. The price doesnt seem to shady to me. Looks like a good deal imo...just upgrade the wheels
keep those for the winter or sumthin

Here's your sport-pack Jam-Master-Jay (can I call you that?
), copy/pasted from another thread after typing it off my window sticker.
All for 1600 beans - what a bargain!!- though I wish the springs were shorter & not just stiffer. Anyway, the $1600.00 window sticker info represents Nov. 06 (brand new) pricing........GET IT-GET IT-GET IT!
It's a steal, for sure...............see?:
1. Sport-tuned suspension: Same ride height as regular coupe suspension -- Same spring rates in front (314lbs) -- 24% rear spring rate increase (342lbs to 427lbs)
2. 19" forged aluminum alloy wheels
3. Viscous Limited Slip Differential (Works great, dude!)
4. Sport Front Bumper / Sport Side Sills (Very distintive; clearly different than stock)
5. Aluminum Pedals (Whatever, Infiniti.........I'll take 'em!)
6. Steering Wheel: Perforated leather/orange stitching (Take that, too! I aint complainin'.)
Good luck; hope you find in so-equipped, though bone-stock base configuration is not necessarily a bad deal if you have to settle. I've driven 10 non-sport packed loaners and the are just as bada$$. (Translation: The G is still a glorified 350Z, minus hatchback - whether it's 2 or 4 doors - and it will run hard just like one, period.)

Hey guys,
Thanks for your input. I ended up getting a 2006 G35 Ivory Pearl, 48k miles, Automatic, Aero Package, Premium Package, Sports-Suspension package (minus the 19" OEM Rays...REALLY wanted these!!) for $19,500. I also paid $2k for a 4-year/50k mile warranty (full coverage minus maintenance)? I think the warranty was worth it, what do you all think?
The car is in good condition, some paint chips around the car, wear and tear on the driver's seat...and the seat belt doesn't retract all that well.
Also, my TPMS light keeps coming on even after I checked all the tire pressure. I'm going to take it to the Infiniti dealer this Wednesday to check it out and have the $48k recommended maintenance.
So far, I'm satisfied with the car. Now I just need to find the 19" OEM Wheels for cheap.

Congratulations JMJ..........sounds like you got a good deal. A definite
on the warranty/extended warranty, whatever they call it. I've got the 6-year/85k extension myself, and even with my $100 deducitible it's still a good deal. (Especially with my low mileage, i.e.,, I've '06 Coupe, owned since Nov. 2006....just passed 31000 miles)
For instance, I saved about $800-900 on replacing the A/C on-off button on the instrument panel after 4+ years of smashing the top part when I turn it on, ultimately leaving an index-finger dent the plastic. Looked pretty damn bad.
Truth be told, it probably should not have been covered since it resulted from negligence on my part, though one could argue normal wear & tear. I knew better. It's like I was trying to poke the panel's eye out. Material cost? About was $700 (had to replace the whole panel). Labor? About $185./hour.
. Whaaaaaaaat?
So remember, for all the push-button controls, the hinge is at the top and the button gives toward the bottom. Don't be roughin it up, uh, like me. (I know.....D'OH!
That was a dumb move, you frickin' Bozo!
My bad.)
Of late, beginning about 4-5 weeks ago, when I crank it up my TPMS light blinks for about 1 minute (indicating a malfunction; turns out, as diagnosed, a problem with my L-Rear Monitor). TPMS's are on backorder from Japan, likely delayed due to the disaster over there.
Is yours doing that?
Well, regardless, it'll likely be covered on the warranty one way or the other, and hopefully you have no deductible, or one less that "$1-Bill", so to speak. Personally, I'm getting damn tired of checking my pressure every week, but I'll cut the Japanese folks some slack after that earthquake & tsunami.
Otherwise, J, you look like you got the same packages I did - essentially loaded, minus Nav & Satellite Radio. You done good!
Happy modding; that IP color is kinda sweet, and your mods will POP! even nicer with the light color.............even better than my Diamond Graphite.
As usual, please post pictures of your smokin hot mods.
