I'm confused... So instead of slowing down, you decided to side swipe the delivery truck with your car?

Sometimes, cars and truck fail to merge. You just have be aware when driving.

LOL, really?

"AFTER my G and the semi swapped some paint the delivery driver was more than happy to finally merge and take off;"

I know. The semi driver did an excellent job not hitting me completely and just grazing me. The wheels are a little scuffed, but insurance is paying for that. It definitely could've been a whole lot worse.

Idk. Most likely refinished. I'm sure the insurance won't pay for powder coating.

Yep. Well I figure they won't since the truck just grazed the rim and didn't actually "damage" it.

Just an update for anyone that cares-

I am dropping my car off tomorrow to get repaired. The official estimate to the ins company was $5600. I imagine it will be more with hidden costs. When I get it back, ALL damage from the accident, as well as from the previous owner (swirls, dings, curb rub on the wheels, etc.) are going to be fixed. Basically when I get it back it will have a flawless body and paint like it was when it was new. Should take approx 14 days for all repairs to get done. I asked the shop to take progress pics and will post final pics when its done.

Work is under way on the G. I hope to get some pics of the progress next week. New paint will be the Diamond Black that Cadillac has on its new Black Edition cars. I'm still debating on painting the rims a satin black to compliment the new paint job. What do you guys think? Would powder coating be better?
