Satellite Radio Installation 3 Pictures, Picture 3
Satellite Radio Installation 3 Pictures, Picture 3
I am putting this up in 3 posts because I don't know how to put 3 pictures in one.
Here is my SAT radio installed in my Coupe. Thought someone could use this. I have Sirius with the Kenwood system. It is an FM modulated system and I love it. This installation is for anyone without Navigation. The control head is installed on the back of the Nav compartment door. The antenna is in the rear window. (the antenna is pulled out further than normal for tint installation. it will be pushed back after tint almost to the glass)
Alan:-)

Re: Satellite Radio Installation 3 Pictures, Picture 3
Do you have any problem with reception, such as dropiing in and out due to mounting inside the car? Had mine installed last week and they said it had to be mounted on the outside. I have a sedan and had it mounted on the trunk lid. I enquired about painting it to match my DP, but the manufacturer (Terk) says you can not use a metallic paint.

That's great AlanL. And thanks for your patience with the issues we're having here on G35.

Re: Sat Radio antenna
Just one note, because my original post and the pictures are so far spread out. The Control head is attached with two sided tape. (the type used for attaching body side molding)
I slid the antenna out for tint. It normally is far enough back the little black piece is hidden and no wires are exposed. Had to make slack in the wire under the rear deck.

That looks really clean Alan. Very cool! I really like the antenna on the rear deck inside, they are just too obtrusive to mount outside and destroy the clean lines of the "G".
