What are you coming from? (OEM 19? previous tires?)

I mean if you had Potenza RE050A and you're going into Nitto 555s reguardless of the advantage in tire size the RE050A is a better tire overall..

OR if you had a nice set of PS2s or something.. just saying just because your tire size is bigger doesnt really mean you're upgrading in performance.


Larger tires will do wonders for the cars handling. The disadvantage he's going to have now is that he'll get toasted by a Stock G35 with the heavy 20" TSW (not a performance wheel). His ride quality will be bumpy but not much different from a the stiff sidewall OEM 19" RE050.. But in terms of 'average' tires he'll be getting better performance with his lower sidewall on a All Season tire.




Fear not OP your set up is fine.. You can probably pull off 245/30/20 with 275/30/20 in the rear for some cushion to protect those wheels from getting bent..
