First oil change..Need experienced opinion!

I just turned 61k in my 05 coupe and im stuck between two choices. I hear our cars are "sensitive" with the oil we use so i was gonna go with mobile 1 5w-30. What im curious about is seeing the mileage i have would it be better to go with a 10w-30 oil considering the wear on the engine? Thanks alot guys

Im well aware of searching forums friend! but i unfortunately do not have that luxury seeing how i only have computer access at work. A straight forward simple answer would really help though!!

Go with what weight is recommended from factory. And I highly recommend the German castrol. Thats some good stuff and, once you get the opportunity to take advantage of the recommendation made by iameric, you'll see that some folks put alot of effort into researching the stuff.

I always go by the general rule thicker oil in the summer and thinner oil in the winter . As for brand I have always just used castrol syntec . Theres always better and full synthetic oils but it does the job .

Just stick with stock 5w-30, and go full synthetic.

If you live in FL, temps don't get cold enough for the "W" numbers to matter anyway.

You could easily use Mobil1 10W/30 if you want, it won't hurt a thing that's the weight I use here in CA. It would be a good idea to use their filters too and change it every 4K miles, your G will be happy you did!
