Question Car doesn't start or jump start but accessories work

The car doesn't start or jump start but the accessories such as the fans, wipers, signal, radio, etc are working. The car did start up like 30 minutes ago before it doesn't start up. I think it's the starter. Any other ideas I can try to fix the problem or any ideas what the problem can be?

mine was having this issue also but it would start with a jump.

however i ended up finding out my battery was done and had to buy another one, fixed the problem right up;. maybe take your battery out and go get it checked. couldnt hurt.

Battery is good, jump starting it with another car wouldn't do the trick either.

I noticed that the horns are not working. Like honking doesn't work and locking the car doesn't make the honk go off. <--- that's a major clue I think it was the fuses, so I checked most of the fuses, but all of them were good. Any ideas? Maybe the wires? But what wires? I'm lost now.

Btw does anyone know where's the solenoid and the starter? I think that might be the problem too.

Check all the fueses and you might need a new starter.

+1 on the starter. Since the radio works it isn't the battery. Does it make a clicking sound when you try and turn it over?

I would think if it were the starter you'd still get the click from the solenoid, but maybe not.

I've never had a starter fail on this car. Or a battery..

No sound makes it sound like either the hot or ground is damaged or came loose from the starter. most of the time the starter has a separate line from the battery, that explains why the accessories work and a jump didn't help. Even a bad starter will make some noise if it has power...

Imma take out the starter today and have autozone do a test on it. I'll let you guys know whatsup later. Thanks for the help ^.^

Btw any ideas with the horn going out? The cruise button still works, so it's probably not the steering wheel. Nvm, I'm just gonna go get the scan tool, should make life easier xD (i hope)

Edit: NortDakota, that is a good point! I'll check the ground wire out before taking the starter off.

+1 I wouldn't worry about the horn. I am sure it will be fixed when your car is. GL!

I think I found the problem after reading what northdakota said. There was a cut in the grounding wires in the air intake box area and when I look closely one or two of the small wires were cut off. So when I was cleaning the engine bay, it made them disconnected completely.

Although I haven't confirm that this will fix the problem cuz I had to go to school right afterwards, but high chance it is

What he said, it could might be that the ground wire bolt fell off. For mine, one of my ground wires were somehow ripped and disconnected. So I re-soldered the ground wires back together and the car starts up fine again ^.^
