New Owner Question

Hey, just bought a silver 06 g35 coupe with 38k miles on it and had a few questions. I must say coming from a 90 civic -> 02 jetta -> 03 passat this car is superb. I just wanted to know how often does the radiator fan spin? and also is the huge pocket of heat it gives off normal?

Welcome to DRIVER....!

Congratulations you finally bought a car worth driving! Our Infiniti G35s are drivers cars and you found one with low mileage, congratulations again! If you have a manual that might tell you at what tem the radiator fan comes on or you could go to www.infinitihelp.com the same information is listed there. Post some pic so we can see what you're crusing around New York in....

What does the engine temperature average? If the pocket of heat is from underneath the car, then its normal.

Radiator fans will activate depending on engine temp and other sensors. They're also variable speed. Temp gauge should always be around halfway mark.

Just a heads up, keep a close eye on those fans. The warranty for the fan motors have been extended recently due to them going bad on some cars.
