HELP Strafespeed v1 trunk

I installed a Strafespeed v1 trunk a couple of days ago and everything went smoothly with no problems. However, until today, when I opened my trunk and tried closing it, it no longer closes/locks. There was no problem with closing the trunk prior to today. What could have happened? Could the heat have messed the form/shape since the underside of the trunk IS fiberglass. I have tried adjusting it over and over again, but no luck. The trunk seems to have shifted up a couple mm, as the trunk sits a lot higher than it used to. I tried pushing really hard on the trunk and the latch just won't catch onto it. I'm pretty bummed right now... Has anyone had this problem before?

I have no expertise on this at all, I'm just suggesting things that I'm sure you've already checked. check the simple things first making sure everything that needs tightening, is tighten - nothing is obstructing the closing process, strap over latch, loose screws that might have the latch itself shift if there is one...etc...

My job consist of a lot of troubleshooting, and people tend to always make the mistake of checking big issues first, mostly because they're in panic mode. First rule of troubleshooting, check the minor, basic things first...if that fails...how hard is it reinstall the trunk? I only ask, because I do not know...maybe a partial uninstall, and then re-install? I'm just responding to let you know somebody's up listening. Everybody else is probably pass-out. In a few hours, somebody will have a real solution for you...just hold on..

Hope it turns out alright for you...I'll bet money it does..

One more thing, relax, walk away, sit down have a cup of coffee, soda, or whatever relaxes you. You might be able to think of a solution in your quiet moment.

Haha thanks for the late-night response, but I have already tried everything you listed. I had a couple of other guys with me check everything as well, we checked for loose screws, readjusted the screws/trunk, anything we could think of. I'm pretty frustrated :/ but thanks.

Wouldn't lock even if you raised trunk lock?

yo i had this problem! remove the plastic panel that covers the female latch on the lower end of your trunk (where the engagement meets when you pull the trunk down to close. Unscrew the bolts and move the bottom latch a little bit higher so it clicks and latches. hard to explain but if you need any more help i can take a picture of what im talking about, just pm me.

I will try that, but I am not sure how to take apart the plastic panel. I tried, but I was afraid that I may snap some pieces :X

You will probably have to take off the gas struts...i find that on aftermarket trunks, the struts are too powerful due to an aftermarket trunk with a lot less mass....try taking the struts off and see what happens

Yup, messing around with that forever helped me get a bit better fitment. Not perfect by any standards, but better. I also removed the gas struts on mine as well, and the blocks that block it from going more than 90 degrees.
