New g purchase

Hey everyone...
Just scored my first G.
Its a 04, auto...
About 90k miles, paid $12K think I did pretty well.

My driverside window is giving me issues already
Is it worth removing motor and trying to clean or should I just replace?

Also my A/C is giving me issues as well. I'm in fl ( very hot ) when I'm stopped or traffic light to traffic light it kicks off and starts blowing warm air. If I'm on the highway or driving steady I have no issues.
Example; I'll be stoped at a traffic light for 30 secs in drive foot on brake and I can feel the ac kickoff and my rpm's decrease.

Any ideas? Thank you much for any imput or ideas!

Congrats on your purchase.

Some advice: don't ask if you got a good deal. Pricing is different across the country, and in a month when someone replies they got a cheaper car, you will lament to yourself becasue you made some random post on 'driver.

Don't clean the window motor. Just replace.

Have the A/C checked at a shop. Sounds like it's low to me. Perhaps someone else with that problem could chime in.

Read up! There is a ton of information on this board (and it sounds like you have already been doing so). Enjoy the car.

Congrats on the purchase!

As for the window motor, just go ahead and replace it. I cleaned mine when it started acting up and it worked for a month then completely died. Plus if you get one from autozone, o'reilly, or advance auto, they come with a lifetime warranty.

Welcome, your deal is so-so, just as long as their is no oil consumption you'll be good to go. As for the window just replace it or if you have a lot of time on your hands try and clean it out... but its on its way out already

no o.c--- check the cooling fans for the ac issue? or to ensure that engines cooling system is working properly? The car doesn't seem to run extra hot on the temp gauge, even tho I know the oem isn't accurate.

so the fan on the pass. side was not working w/the ac turned on. i gave to a little bump start and it starting spining.
A short time after while in traffic I felt what seemed to be the ac kicking off (engine load and rmps) shortly after started blowing warmer air.
I shut the ac, turned on and it was blowing cold again while moving.

ideas please

Just like everyone said, it's better to replace the window motor and don't waste your time cleaning it. With the AC issue, there must be air in your cooling system. Ask the previous owner if he ever changed his coolant which at 90k miles I'm sure it's been done before. I had the same problem with my G and one time it over heated. I made sure to get all the air out of the cooling system and my AC started working fine. My brother had the same issue with his 350z and got air out of his cooling system as well and the AC started to work.

Thanks for the heads up... I'm leaning towards rad. fan since the pass side fan wasn't spinning until I gave it a little bump start by hand. And the 96mo/100k means I'm still under warranty. It makes sense from the information that I have gathered from other people's fan issues.
Fingers crossed

I doubt it's the radiator. If the fan wouldn't spin, the AC wouldn't work at all. Try either recharging your AC or check your coolant system for air. But either way you should fix that fan and if the problem still occurs try what I suggested.

By air in the cooling system are your ref. to the engine cooling system? Or the AC cooling system?
Thank you

Evac and recover should solve your AC issue.
