Hey guys I went to Al & Eds today the prices they told me almost ran me outta there for doin a double din with my navi. However the guy told me that he has this thing that he can do for my navi to pay videos threw the DVD player and make an Ipod connector and video playback from the Ipod also. I wanted to see if anyone has done this? He quoted me around $500 bucks with labor and everything and told me that I can have a little switch in there to switch between the navi and video. My question is has anyone done this or know someone that has how is it, is it worth doing this or should I just do a Ipod and be done with it? Help please

question: do you really need it?

I was thinking about it today, and i never have my car running when parked (long enough to watch a movie)... and i certainly don't want to watch it while driving...

and it sounds like you have a OEM NAV (i do as well) which means that you probably don't need to hook it up to an iPod/iPhone for NAV...

 

I really want to do an Ipod in there for sure, and when he told me about the video I was just thinking of doing that with it. How much do you guys do the Ipod integration? he wants $270 for in labor and parts isn't this too much?

 

$270 seems "fair"

make sure that iPod module he is installing has steering wheel controls...
