Hey guys and gals. Thanks to this great forum, I learned that Infiniti issued a warranty extension on our radiator fans.

I just bought my '05 G coupe last year with only 19xxx mile on it from a retired gentleman. Well, one day while sitting in traffic, the temperature gauge starts rising to the point where, to my girlfriend's delight,I had to blast the heat. So I do that, pull onto a side street and pop the hood to see the coolant overflow boiling. So I waited a bit, started off, and everything went back to normal so I figured the previous owner just overfilled the reservoir. Well when it happened again this year, I called Infiniti, and brought it in. They said it was gonna be about $850 to replace both fans.......until I informed them of the extension haha. And I thought it was only the passenger side fan that was bad since when I looked under the hood the second time the temp. gauge rose, only the driver's side was running.

Lucky me! Two new fans replaced at no cost to me!

Just wanted to give a big to this great forum and the knowledgeable people here.

 

Yea unfortunately it's happened to a few of us around here already.

Did you get the actual fans or fan motors replaced... or both?

 

Oops, only got the motors replaced. Still happy as heck though.
